Trojan.Multi.Brosubsc.gen

The 'Trojan.Multi.Brosubsc.gen' detection appears to be used by certain anti-malware security solutions to flag potentially unwanted browser notifications. Countless rogue websites and intrusive applications try to exploit legitimate browser features to deliver various advertisements delivered in the form of supposedly relevant notifications. Typically, all that users would need to do is to open the appropriate settings of their browser and unsubscribe from any websites that they do not recognize.

However, if a dedicated PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) has managed to get installed on the computer, its removal could be more difficult. Browser hijackers and adware may interfere with or modify the normal behavior of the user's browser and cause unwanted redirects or generate numerous questionable advertisements. PUPs also may monitor the browsing activities carried out on the system. In some cases, these applications may even extract system details or sensitive information saved into browsers' autofill data, such as banking details, account credentials, and more.

Most of the Trojan.Multi.Brosubsc.gen detections appear to be located in Russia, followed by Brazil, India, Ukraine and other countries.
