Togo Quick Search is a browser hijacker application that tries to install itself on the user's computers while remaining unnoticed completely. To achieve this, the application relies on deceptive distribution techniques. As such, it also is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP).

Browser hijackers have a singular goal - to take over the user's Web browser and force them to open a sponsored address. By modifying the browser's homepage, new tab page, and the default search engine settings, the Togo Quick Search ensures that it will generate maximum artificial traffic towards togosearching.com, an address that belongs to a fake search engine.

Fake engines are incapable of delivering any results on their own. Any search queries initiated by the users will be taken and redirected to a legitimate engine. The togosearching.com fake engine shows results generated by the legitimate search engine Bing. 

It should be noted that most browser hijackers are equipped with the necessary functionality to protect the changes they made. Users will find out that they are either unable to revert the affected settings to their original state altogether or the browser hijacker changes them after each computer boot.
