Toftheussi.xyz is an untrustworthy page that tries to take advantage of the legitimate push notifications browser feature. This particular tactic has been propagated by countless other deceptive sites already. Users should remember that all these pages operate in a virtually identical manner - they display misleading and false messages in an attempt to lure users into clicking the 'Allow' button without revealing that doing so will enable their push notifications.
One such fake scenario that has been observed on Toftheussi.xyz involves the site showing an image of several robots. The picture will be accompanied by a message similar to:
'Click Allow to confirm that you are not a robot'
The implication is that users must pass a CAPTCHA check to access the supposed content on the site. The only problem is that there is no such content, and users would now be susceptible to receiving annoying and unwanted advertisements generated by the page.
Advertisements associated with such unproven sources should not be approached carelessly. They may lead to other questionable pages or promote intrusive PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) that have been disguised as seemingly useful applications. In fact, when users click 'Allow,' Toftheyssi.xyz will take them to a download page for an adware application known as Smarty.
