Time Time Ransomware

The Time Time Ransomware is a file-encrypting threat that prevents its victims from accessing their data by changing the targeted files' names by including the files extension “.timetime” to them. The objective of the Time Time Ransomware when it encrypts the victims' files is to make them pay a ransom. In the case of the Time Time Ransomware, the demanded ransom is in the amount of €100 via a Paysafecard, if they want their data back.

The Time Time ransomware will target files containing videos, images, and work-related documents and files such as .pdf, .xls, .doc, .docx and others. Once the files' encryption is finished, the Time Time Ransomware will generate a file containing the ransom note and instructions on how to contact its developers. The ransom note can be found in a text file named '@__RECOVER_YOUR_FILES__@.txt,' and there is no email address or another way to contact the cybercriminals specified in the ransom note.

Unfortunately, the only way to recover the data encrypted by the Time Time Ransomware is by obtaining the software containing the decryption key and no one can assure that this tool even exists. However, if it exists and security researchers can recover the key that will make the decryption possible from the attackers, then the victims of the Time Time Ransomware can breathe normally again. It is why victims of ransomware should make a copy of the encrypted drives because in case a decryption application becomes available, their recovery may be possible.
