TemperatureScout is similar to StormWatch and is supposed to give users information on their local weather reports. The TemperatureScout application travels with other free software and users may install it with the 'Typical' or 'Express' option unknowingly. Computer users may want tot know that security researchers perceive the TemperatureScout applications as adware that may load corrupted advertisements in your browser. The TemperatureScout adware may edit your Windows Registry to enable its operations every time you log in Windows. The TemperatureScout adware may install a browser plug-in to show advertising content in your Internet client and execute behavioral marketing. The TemperatureScout adware may load banners, inline ads, transitional commercials and video ads on the pages you favor. Additionally, the TemperatureScout adware may display pop-up windows that may welcome you to install programs like DynamicWPaper and FirstSearchBar that have a bad reputation. Security researchers note that the TemperatureScout adware may launch a background service in your Windows Task Manager to bring up weather alerts on your desktop and load ads in your Web browser. The commercials pushed by TemperatureScout may contain links to harmful domains and redirect users to phishing pages that are nearly perfect clones of PayPal, Facebook and log-in portals of online banking services. The TemperatureScout adware may not appear in your 'Programs and Features' panel, and append the 'Hidden' property to its installation folder to evade detection.
