System-dating.top is a dubious site that users are rarely going to open intentionally. It is far more likely to encounter the page as a result of visiting a site using rogue advertising networks, due to a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) lurking inside the computer or device or via spam emails. After all, System-dating.top has nothing of value to offer its visitors.
No, the main purpose of the site is to run a browser-based tactic. It will try to convince visitors to click on the displayed 'Allow' button by creating various false impressions about what the button does. Other con pages of this type have often been observed to pretend to be doing a CAPTCHA chec. However, System-dating.top has opted for a different tactic.
Users will be shown a video window that cannot be played at the moment. The impression is that there is an issue and to access the content, users must click the 'Allow' button. To further that impression, the site also displays a message similar to:
'Press Allow to watch the video'
Users may not even realize that clicking the button will grant important browser permissions to the deceptive page. System-dating.top will abuse these permissions to run an intrusive ad campaign and deliver unwanted advertisements to users. Furthermore, the advertisements are likely to promote various online tactics, fake giveaways, phishing schemes or other shady websites. Users also may encounter offers to download applications that turn out to be invasive PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) with adware or browser hijacker capabilities.
