Stamp EK Exploit Kit
Stamp EK Exploit Kit is a malware threat that is used by cybercriminals to distribute ransomware to victimized PCs by abusing GitHub and SourceForge. Cybercrooks bombard GitHub and SourceForge with malicious web-links that seem to refer to adult pictures of celebrities. target computer users who click on the web-links are pointed to a bogus YouTube page or to a website, which contains explicit pictures. These websites include the Stamp EK Exploit Kit, which is used to deliver ransomware variants of Weelsof or Reveton onto the affected computer system. The websites that include Stamp EK Exploit Kit are being compromised by attackers. Once a ransomware infection takes over the infected computer, it blocks the desktop, blames victims for accessing illegitimate content, and asks to pay a fine of a $300 (225 EUR) to restore access to the PC.
