The Sound+ program is advertised as capable of delivering improved music experience to users that prefer to listen to music via headphones and provide links to the latest music videos on the Internet. The Sound+ program may land on your PC as an optional component under the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' option of a freeware package. Security researchers note that advertisers support the development of the Sound+ program and it is considered as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) with adware capabilities. The Sound+ program my show pop-up windows with promotional materials in your Internet browser, make words bold in red, and turn them into hyperlinks to sponsored content. The Sound+ program is similar to Fastoplayer and Baboom and may welcome users to install third-party audio rendering software.
Additionally, the Sound+ program may edit your Windows Registry to become your default sound manager and may not be compatible with your sound card that may cause frustration for many users. The Sound+ program may not allow users to apply advanced effects to the audio stream of their computers, and the sound quality may not be improved as you hoped it would. Also, the Sound+ program may collect information such as your hardware configuration, IP address and bookmarks collection to provide advertisers with statistical data for market developing purposes. The Sound+ program may show recommended offers on floating ad-boxes when you visit e-commerce platforms like Kmart, Amazon and Best Buy.
