Ironically, the Snail Translator software is promoted at Snailtranslator.com as the world`s fastest and lightest translator for the Windows OS that you can find. The Snail Translator software claims to support up to forty-eight languages and dialects and to rival translation services from Google and Bing. The Snail Translator software is published under the GNU Freeware license and may arrive on your computer incorporated with other free programs like AirInstaller and QueenCoupon. According to the posts on Snailtranslator.com, the Snail Translator software has several modules that provide rephrasing suggestions, grammar checker, smart dictionary and text reader, and many users may wish to install it. However, the Snail Translator program is classified as adware because there is evidence that it may show pop-up windows and banners loaded with marketing offers on non-affiliated pages. Security investigators reveal that the Snail Translator adware is a member of the Adware Helpers family of programs and is similar to the WhiteSmoke Translator and QuickyTranslator.
Computer users that installed the Snail Translator adware intentionally and otherwise report that it may create a folder in the Windows directory and may not be deleted manually. Moreover, the main executable of the Snail Translator may be registered as a Windows service and run on the system startup. The Snail Translator adware may run as a separate thread in the svchost.exe host process and hijack most of your system resources. The developers of the Snail Translator adware may use it to mine Bitcoins and make an easy profit. Needless to say, your CPU may not handle the load, and you may experience system errors and not be able to load 720p and 1080p videos. The ads by Snail Translator may feature links to untrusted online stores that do not apply encryption and users are advised against clicking on coupons, discounts and vouchers from Snail Translator. Security investigators recommend users to install a reputable anti-malware application to find and delete all components of the Snail Translator adware securely.
