The Shield+ Browser should not be mistaken for an upgraded version of the Google Chrome Browser by Google Inc. despite its appearance. The official page of the Shield+ Browser is located at Shield-plus.com and is nothing more than a front for an adware-powered Internet client. Security authorities alert that the Shield+ Browser is adware that is custom built of the open source project Chromium that is used by Google Inc. and SRWare Gmbh. The Shield+ Browser is advertised to offer secure shopping experience and incorporate advanced shopping extensions for your convenience. However, the Shield+ adware may be packed with other adware like Extratoolbar and FineDealSoft to monitor what you like on Facebook and what you comment on Twitter. The information that is gathered by the Shield+ Browser may be sent to untrusted ad networks for analysis and marketing purposes.
The Shield+ Browser functions similarly to the Olcinium Browser and WebDiscover Browser and may use your IP address and software configuration to create a unique advertising profile about you. Computer users that installed the Shield+ Browser may notice that it is set as their default Internet client and is launched whenever you click on hyperlinks in documents and messages. You will not be provided with the native ads on secure stores like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart while surfing the Internet with the Shield+ Browser. The Shield+ Browser has a built-in filter that will load offers from sponsors only and might redirect you to insecure e-commerce portals. Your credit card data and online identity are at risk as long as the Shield+ Browser is on your PC. Do not allow the Shield+ Browser to save auto-fill data because third parties may hijack your email address and social media profiles. Security authorities advise PC users to install a credible anti-spyware tool to delete all files of the Shield+ Browser safely.
