Severalsituations.click is a page that could show users various online tactics, while also asking them to enable its push notifications. This behavior is common among rogue websites that do not provide any meaningful content and appear interested mostly in taking advantage of their visitors. One confirmed tactic propagated by Severalsituations.click is 'Your PC is infected with 5 Viruses!'
This particular scheme consists of generating several pop-up windows containing false or misleading security alerts and warnings. The information is commonly presented as if coming from a legitimate software company, such as Norton or McAfee. Of course, the actual company is in no way associated with these con pages.
Users shouldn't trust the results of a supposed threat scan performed by the dubious page, either. Severalsituations.click may claim that it has scanned the user's device and has found several, threatening malware on it. The questionable site will try to direct users toward pressing the 'Renew License' button, as a way to deal with the supposed critical issues. The button opens a legitimate McAfee website that contains an affiliate ID as part of its URL address. This fact suggests that the operators of the tactic page are trying to earn illegitimate commission fees, based on the transactions carried out via the deceptive page.
Users interested in trying out any software product should do so by visiting its official Web page or through a reputable app store and not by following links found on questionable websites encountered while browsing.
