Many adware programs may appear as helpful utilities at first glance. This is the case with the SelectionDaily adware program. This dubious application markets itself as a tool that will enhance your search results, and thus your browsing quality. However, this is not true, as the only function of the SelectionDaily adware application is to inject advertisements on the Web pages you visit.

To trick users into installing it, the SelectionDaily adware tool will appear as a ‘Flash Player’ update that needs to be applied if the user wants to view certain media. Unfortunately, installing the software promoted by this bogus update prompt will not provide you with any helpful updates. Instead, you will install an adware application that will flood the websites you visit with unwanted and irrelevant advertisements. The SelectionDaily application is likely to spawn pop-up windows, large banners, flashing alerts, hyperlinks, and other advertisements on every website you attempt to browse. Needless to say, this becomes tedious and irritating rather quickly. Furthermore, the SelectionDaily adware program is likely to promote untrustworthy products and services, so you are better off ignoring the advertisements associated with it.

If you want to stop the advertisement bombardment, it is advisable to install a genuine anti-virus solution that will sniff out and remove the SelectionDaily adware program from your Mac.
