Description is a deceptive website that tries to trick iPhone users into installing various Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs). Although the main focus is on iPhones, other Apple devices could be affected by the scheme as well. Usually, users do not land on sites such as willingly and are taken there through redirects from either intrusive Web advertisements or the presence of an adware application on their devices.

As for the particular tactic carried out by, it can vary between several options. In some instances, the website will pretend that the device of the user is infected with malware. The pop-up message generated by the site states:

The tactic then urges users to install a 'mobile security application.' It should be noted that no Web page can scan your device for malware and messages such as this are false completely and utterly. As is the message shown in the other scheme carried out by, which claims that users have either to update their existing VPN or install a new one.
