Securityinspector2010 or Security Inspector 2010 is a fake anti-virus that is distributed by Trojans and malicious websites. Once inside a PC, Securityinspector2010 will create a start-up registry entry, modify the browser settings and block access to applications such as Task Manager. Securityinspector2010 will also generate fake pop-up warnings, security alerts and scanners all claiming that the system is infected with malware that can only be removed with the "full version" of Securityinspector2010. Purchasing Securityinspector2010 is a waste of money as this is a useless application that will do more damage than good to your PC.

Interesting that you are seeing this problem with Firefox as well. This is happening because this virus sets your proxy server in IE to look for a dial up connection instead of DSL or you are being routed to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5555

Do the following in IE: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings check Automatically Detect settings.

Uncheck Use a proxy server for your. Make sure you delete at a minimun otherwise you won't get rid of this virus:

%Documents and Settings%\[UserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\[random string]\[random string]tssd.exe
%Documents and Settings%\[UserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\[random string]\[random string].exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run [random string] HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run [random string]

Hope this helps
