EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Seach.searchdcnow.com is a dubious search engine being promoted through browser hijacker applications. Infosec researchers have observed this particular engine to be delivered via browser extensions named 'Download Converter Now' or 'Download Converter V3.7.' These extensions advertise themselves as convenient tools to search the Web, as well as allowing users to convert files to various, different formats.
Unfortunately, as we said in the beginning, their true function is to act as browser hijackers. Users will notice that their normal homepage, new page tab, and even the default search engine of their browser have all been modified to open the promoted seach.searchdcnow.com address. As a result, whenever the affected browser is opened, a new tab is started, or a search is initiated via the URL bar, it would generate artificial traffic towards the intrusive search engine.
Users should approach with caution the results displayed by seach.searchdcnow.com. Injected into the result list could be various sponsored ad links that might not even fit the search criteria. Clicking on such links could take users to unverified third-party websites or various deceiving pages. It is not uncommon for such sites to display misleading content, run phishing or technical support tactics, or distribute barely functional PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs). In addition, seach.searchdnow.com might try to collect data related to the user's browsing activities including visited websites, conducted searchers, and more.
