Search.kuklorest.com is the address of a dubious search engine that is being promoted via a browser hijacker application. This is a common technique used to generate artificial traffic towards such fake search engines that are extremely unlikely to be visited by users intentionally. In most cases, the dubious engine is incapable of producing any search results on its own. It simply hijacks the entered search query and redirects it to a legitimate engine such as Yahoo, Bing or Google.
The browser hijacker application on the other hand is tasked with modifying the settings of the most widely used Web browser - Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, etc. The homepage, new tab page, and the default search engine will be set to open the address of the promoted hoax search engine - search.kuklorest.com in this case. Even if the user changes the settings to their original state subsequently, the browser hijacker via so-called 'helper objects' will revert them to the sponsored address automatically.
Browser hijackers and the promoted search engines also are known for spying and collecting the user's browsing habits. Search.kuklorest.com might be tracking the user's IP address, performed searches, clicked URLs and more. The gathered information is then uploaded to a remote server and made available to the operators of the specific application or hoax engine. In turn, they can try to exploit the collected information themselves or offer it for sale to third parties that might include cybercriminals.
