The Search Anonymo browser extension is promoted as the perfect tool for users who wish to protect their privacy on search services like Google, Bing and Yahoo. Search Anonymo is available to Web surfers that run Internet Explore, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. When the Search Anonymo extension is attached to the browser, a new icon would appear in the top right corner placed on the toolbox. The icon is a blue orb with a domino mask at its center and when you click it a pop-up window appears that includes a turn on/off button and links to the main site searchanonymo.com. Web surfers that install the Search Anonymo should note that it may change their default search provider to Yahoo and record your interaction with the Search Anonymo service. Search Anonymo is an ad-supported program that seeks access to the following parameters to help marketers display relevant promotional materials via Yahoo:

The data request performed by Search Anonymo is covered in the Privacy Policy agreement that you can find at Searchanonymo.com/privacy.html, and you may want to take a look at it. For an extension that is supposed to ensure your privacy, the Search Anonymo program may share many details with third-party networks and read unique identifiers on your PC. Cyber security researchers perceive the Search Anonymo extension as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may block the ad networks that do not support Search Anonymo from tracking you. However, those ad networks that support Search Anonymo may have access to all the data they need to identify your machine on connected sites and deliver targeted promotional materials as if you are not using Search Anonymo.
