The Screenery browser widget may attract you with a promise to enhance the quality of images you preview on the Internet, but you may want to know that it is adware. Security experts note that the Screenery adware is deployed via freeware packages, and its primary goal is to generate affiliate revenue for its developers. The Screenery adware may present you with banners, pop-up windows, ad boxes and suggest you sponsored search results on Google. Also, the Screenery adware may use tracking cookies and detect your approximate geographical locations to generate tailor-suited ads. The Screenery adware may appear on your 'Programs and Features' list and may write a registry entry in Windows to start at boot-up.
