Savings Assistant is an adware application that shows pop-up ads and sponsored links, and offers coupons via a pop-up box on Ebay, Amazon, Walmart and other online shopping websites that are visited by Internet users. These pop-up ads will be shown by Savings Assistant as boxes, which carry various coupons that are available or as underlined keywords, which, once clicked, will display an ad that claims it is sent to the PC user by Savings Assistant. Savings Assistant is an add-on for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome that is usually inserted when the PC user installs other free software products. When the computer user installs these free programs, he/she will also install Savings Assistant. When installed, whenever the PC user will surf Expedia, Best Buy, Facebook or any other similar websites, Savings Assistant will display a box, which carries related keyword suggestions, ads and sponsored links, in the right top part of the hacked web browser.
