R3adyt0download.com is a hoax site designed to trick users into subscribing to its push notification services. The goal is to then abuse the received browser permissions to run an intrusive advertisement campaign on the affected device. It should be noted that users are extremely unlikely to land on websites such as R3adyt0download.com on their own. Instead, they are taken there either by forced redirects caused by previously visited sites or as a result of having a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) present on their computers. 

While most websites of this kind pretend to be conducting a CAPTCHA check for bots to lure their users into clicking the 'Allow' button, R3adyt0download.com relies on a different tactic. It shows a video window that, apparently, is running into trouble being played. Accompanying it is a message similar to:

'Press Allow to watch the video'

If they fall for this scheme, users will be subjected to unwanted advertisements. Furthermore, the advertisements themselves could deliver mote dubious content or even lead to unsafe places. Users could be taken to phishing pages that will collect all entered information, domains spreading PUPs, dubious online casino platforms, etc.

To try and stop the activities of R3adyt0download.com manually, users will need to open the 'Notifications' or 'Permissions' menus of their respective browser and revoke all permissions that have been granted to the hoax site.
