One of the potential schemes found on the page when cybersecurity experts analyzed it, involved showing a fake copy of the official McAfee website.
The fraudsters try to mislead visitors that it is the official page of the security vendor. Typically, such schemes revolve around convincing users to download the legitimate product of the vendor, while the operators of the fraudulent page each monetary gains via affiliate schemes or illegitimate commission fees. It is important to note that companies such as McAfee, have no connection to these untrustworthy websites.
