EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

ProADBlocks is an intrusive browser hijacker application. Its sole purpose is to sneak onto users' computers or devices and then generate artificial traffic towards a promoted page. This is achieved by taking control over the user's Web browser and forcing them to open the sponsored address. In the vast majority of cases where browser hijackers are involved, they are used as a vehicle for the promotion of a fake search engine. ProADBlocks is not an exception.
Simply launching the affected browser, opening a new tab, or starting a search via the URL bar will result in the user being taken to the promoted fake search engine. As for the results themselves, they will be taken from a legitimate engine such as search.yahoo.com, because the fake one lacks such functionality.
You may be wondering how a suspicious application such as ProADBlocks was able to enter your computer. The answer is quite simple - the creators of such dubious applications know that users are not going to download and install their adware or browser hijackers willingly. That is why they distribute the applications through questionable methods, such as bundling or fake installers. The reliance on these deceitful techniques classifies the applications as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs).
Users should be careful if they notice any signs of the presence of a PUP and act swiftly. It is strongly recommended to remove such programs with a reputable security solution or risk having your browsing activities tracked and transmitted to the PUP's operators.
