The PPTAssist program is promoted on low-quality software centers that usually incorporate adware in their packages to earn pay-per-install revenue. The PPTAssist program may claim to help you organize your work and recycle slides from old Microsoft PowerPoint documents, but it is adware and will not satisfy your needs. The main objective of the PPTAssist adware is to show advertisements and generate affiliate revenue for its developers. The PPTAssist adware may show you ad boxes on your desktop that promote sponsored programs like Open Browser and PC Speed Clean. These apps could apply unwanted changes to your system and slow down your computer. Additionally, the PPTAssist adware may add a task in the Windows task manager to automate its update routine and may install updates from third-parties that may include Infoax and the infamous Conduit Toolbar. The PPTAssist adware may attach a browser plugin to your Internet client and write a registry entry in Windows to load it when you start an online session. The PPTAssist adware may use its browser integration to place banners on the websites you visit and load pop-up windows with marketing content as you surf the Web. Also, the PPTAssist adware may use tracking cookies and DOM storage data to help sponsors deliver targeted promotions. Computer users may want to use a reliable anti-spyware tool to remove the PPTAssist adware.
