Powerful PC Protection is an untrustworthy computer application created to confuse users and scam them out of their money. When inside a system, Powerful PC Protection will create a start-up registry entry and modify certain security settings. Then Powerful PC Protection will start disturbing a victim by flooding the desktop with security alerts and scanners. The security notifications will claim that the system is infected with Trojans, viruses, worms and other malware which, purportedly, can only be removed with the full version of Powerful PC Protection. Powerful PC Protection does not really have a full version, however it tricks users into believing Powerful PC Protection has one so that they will make an electronic payment for it. Once a user pays for the fake software, nothing will change except the balance in his/her bank.
