The goal of the myriad of virtually identical sites dedicated to the proliferation of this particular browser-based tactic is to then abuse the received permissions to run an intrusive advertising campaign. 

Landing on pages such as Plswinners.click is usually not an intentional act. Instead, users are taken there as a result of a redirect from a previously visited site or due to having a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) present on their computers or devices. No matter how they arrived there, Plswinners.click will greet them with a deceptive scenario. Typically, the site pretends to be running a CAPTCHA check. It will show an image with robots and one or more messages similar to:
