EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

The Playless Videos is a browser extension that promises its users that they will now be seeing far fewer advertisements on YouTube. The extension claims to be able to either disable advertisements altogether or automatically skip them. Unfortunately, after installing the Playless Videos on their systems, users will discover, in a rather ironic twist, that the application itself is adware tasked with the delivery of annoying and unwanted advertisements.
While active on the device, the Playless Videos could generate numerous advertisements that may appear as pop-ups, notifications, banners, etc. More importantly, users should exercise caution when interacting with the shown advertisements. It is not uncommon for advertisements associated with dubious sources to promote shady websites, fake giveaways, phishing portals, additional PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), or cause forced redirects to other similarly suspicious destinations.
At the same time, users should be warned that PUPs are infamous for carrying data-harvesting capabilities. These applications could monitor the browsing activities carried out on the system, as well as collect various device details. In some cases, PUPs have been even observed trying to extract sensitive information, such as banking details or account credentials from browsers' autofill data.
