PlatteMedia
PlatteMedia is an adware program that may enter a system via drive-by downloads or when visiting malicious websites. PlatteMedia is able to enter a system without a user's permission or knowledge. Once PlatteMedia has penetrated a system, it may display annoying pop-up advertisements and provide links to undesirable websites. PlatteMedia has the ability to monitor and capture a victim's internet activities, as well as any other internet related information that can be used by a third party to conduct criminal activities. To lessen the amount of damage PlatteMedia does to a system, remove it as soon as it is detected.
