PC Tool 2011 is another rogue program that was found to be a descendant of System Tool 2011. PC Tool 2011 will render the computer useless by locking the desktop properties. The infected computer's wall paper will also be changed to a fake warning stating that PC Tool 2011 must be purchased to regain control of the desktop. PC Tool 2011 will display a barrage of fake alerts and warning messages telling users of fake virus present on the system. It will create every opportunity to persuade users to purchase the licensed version of PC Tool 2011.
