Another rogue website that proliferates a popular browser-based tactic has emerged on the Internet. Users who land on nsmaking.com should exercise caution. These pages show various deceptive alerts or warning messages, in an attempt to lure their visitors into subscribing to their push notification services. Usually, this is disguised as a simple instruction to click the 'Allow' button.

For example, nsmaking.com could show a video window accompanied by the following message:

'Press 'Allow' to watch the video'

Other popular scenarios among these hoax pages include pretending to run a CAPTCHA check or that an unspecified file is now ready for download.

If you fall for the trap, nsmaking.com will receive all of the browser permissions it requires to start generating monetary gains for its creators by running an ad campaign on the affected device. The advertisements it delivers should not be trusted, as they could redirect to suspicious or outright unsafe third-party websites. It is not uncommon for users to be taken to phishing pages that collect all entered information, fake giveaways, offers to install barely-functional PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), and more.

The reason you are even seeing the nsmaking.com page could be that a PUP has already managed to install itself onto your computer or device. You should remove such applications as soon as possible with a professional security solution, preferably.
