More specifically, the page runs a popular browser-based tactic that attempts to lure users into unknowingly subscribing to its push notification services. Websites of this type hide their true intentions behind fake scenarios that mask the actual functionality of the displayed 'Allow' button.

One of the misleading tactics often seen on hoax websites is pretending as if visitors have to pass a CAPTCHA check. has also been observed to utilize this scenario. The page may display an image containing a robot next to a message similar to:

'If you are not a robot, click Allow'

After pressing the button, users will not be brought to any additional content.
