Netdivision

Netdivision is an adware program that targets macOS users. Netdivision can find its way to a computer when its users visit compromised websites, click on corrupted advertisements, open spam emails, etc. Netdivision is one of the countless members of the AdLoad family and it can affect almost all of the Web browsers available on the Internet, including Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc.

Netdivision was created to perform only one task, which is to display numerous, intrusive advertisements that when clicked, will lead the computer user to unsafe websites, online schemes, fake updates, bogus or overpriced services, security programs that do not work properly and even to the installation of threatening applications.

Netdivision also may monitor the computer user's activities and collect information, such as visited Web pages, username and passwords for these Web pages, search queries to be able to display advertisements that match the computer users' interest, and other private information.

It is clear that Netdivision can cause privacy and security breaches on the computer it is installed. Therefore, Netdivision should be removed upon detection and by using a malware removal application.
