EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Users often find applications such as MySearchConverters present on their devices, without having any recollection of authorizing their installation. This is not a surprising outcome, because most PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) are rarely distributed via the usual channels. Instead, they rely heavily on tactics, such as software bundles or fake installers to sneak inside the device unnoticed.
Once MySearchConverters is fully established, it will activate its browser hijacker capabilities. The application is designed to promote the feed.mysearchconverters.com address by adding it to several important browser settings. Affected users may notice that their typical homepage, new tab page, and default search engine have now all been changed to open this unfamiliar page.
The promoted site belongs to a fake search engine. Fake engines lack the ability to produce any results on their own. To imitate that functionality, they take users' search queries and redirect them to a different source. For example, feed.mysearchconverters.com has been observed to take results from the legitimate Yahoo search engine.
PUPs are often capable of even more intrusive actions. They could be silently spying on the browsing activities carried on the device. Some can even extract private or confidential data from the affected browsers. This information could include any payment or banking details that have been saved as autofill data.
