The MyDownloadManager is advertised on the Chrome Web Store, freeware bundles, and Mydownloadmanager.com as an implement that can provide advanced download management features to users that download many files during their online sessions. You should note that the MyDownloadManager extension might change your search engine to Apps.searchalgo.com that is associated with a browser hijacker. Additionally, the MyDownloadManager extension is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program that might interfere with your download requests and block some of your browser's features.
The development of the MyDownloadManager is sponsored by advertisers that may use the application to publish promotional materials on your screen via pop-up windows and banners. Also, the MyDownloadManager extension may read your browsing history and use session cookies to understand your Internet behavior and generate custom-made ads. The MyDownloadManager extension may turn off your ad blocker to enable its functionality and users may not be too happy about that. The MyDownloadManager program may change your homepage to present you with a list of your recent downloads and place a search bar powered by Searchalgo.
Web surfers may notice a small blue icon in the upper right corner of their browser that they can click on and be directed to a new tab page that is used to host the interface of the MyDownloadManager extension. Users may have the ability to organize their download list by type, date and size, and delete and open files. The MyDownloadManager extension may need system privileges to handle EXE, COM and BAT files that you downloaded from the Internet. When using the MyDownloadManager application pay attention to what is being downloaded to your computer, because you may install badware like Shieldren that is promoted by MyDownloadManager.
