The reason for this can be found in the way the application is programmed to operate - almost immediately after being installed on the system, Multisearch.live will establish control over the users' Web browsers and force them to open a promoted address. The goal is to drive artificial traffic towards the specific page, which in nearly all cases a browser hijackers is involved, turns out to be a fake search engine.
Users that have Multisearch.live present on their computers will notice that their browser's homepage, new tab page, and default search engine have all been modified by the PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). Furthermore, while the browser hijacker is still installed, it may prevent users from reverting the targeted settings to their original states.
As for the site promoted by the application, it is the fake search engine at search.multisearch.live. The page appears as a legitimate engine but it cannot produce any results on its own.
