Mscsmart.com is essentially another rogue website trying to take advantage of its visitors. There are countless such pages running numerous online tactics. Typically, what users encounter on the dubious site is determined by different factors, such as their specific IP address and geolocation. One of the more popular schemes, and the one observed on Mscsmart.com, attempts to exploit the legitimate push notification browser feature. as a way to earn monetary gains for the particular site's operators.
The tactic involves showing users deceptive or clickbait messages that mask the real goals of the site. Mscsmart.com could display an image of a robot and a message similar to 'Click Allow if you are not a robot' to create the impression that visitors must pass a CAPTCHA check to access the content of the page. Of course, this is just a ruse and, in most cases, there is no such content.
Instead, users would have unknowingly enabled the push notifications of the page. As a result, Mscsmart.com would now be able to deliver numerous, unwanted and intrusive advertisements to the user's device. The advertisements could interrupt users' normal activities on the system, while also promoting dubious destinations and software products. It is not uncommon for advertisements generated by such untrustworthy sources to advertise fake giveaways, shady online betting/gaming portals, adult-oriented platforms, PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), etc.
