Movie Reviews & Search is another intrusive browser hijacker application dedicated to promoting and generating artificial traffic towards the mvoieztab.com fake search engine. The application tries to present itself in a legitimate light by claiming that will provide movie-lovers with convenient access to the latest information related to new releases, reviews and other movie events.

However, once installed on the computer, the application will take over several important browser settings and prevent users from making any further modifications. More specifically, the application will affect the homepage, new tab page, and the default search engine. All three settings will now begin opening the movieztab.com address.

In general, the search results shown by fake engines should not be trusted. After all, these engines lack the ability to generate results by themselves and take them from other sources. Sometimes users may be presented with results generated by legitimate engines, for example, movieztab.com has been observed to redirect to the Bing engine. There are no guarantees that this will always be the case, though, and depending on factors, such as their IP address, geolocation, browser type, and possibly others, some users could receive untrustworthy, low-quality results taken from dubious search engines.
