Mixmeister Search and Toolbar is an adware application that was generated by attackers using the community software programs from Conduit. Any computer user who is downloading free applications from the web may also obtain Mixmeister Search and Toolbar by downloading and installing it on a victimized PC without knowing about it. Mixmeister Search and Toolbar is loaded onto the targeted web browser as a plug-in or extension. Mixmeister Search will replace the homepage and default search engine to its own search box Without asking the PC user's permission, which according to it, is powered by Bing. Mixmeister Toolbar is also installed as a component of the menu of the hijacked web browser, which will occupy the targeted web browser. Contents of the Mixmeister Search Toolbar can be useful icons and shortcuts to well-known websites. Some computer users state Mixmeister Search and Toolbar is an irritating or even harmful application.
