Mike149.exe

Mike149.exe is a harmful application that can be dropped onto a system by other malware. Mike149.exe can also enter a system via unsolicited e-mails or bundled with internet downloads. To ensure that it is executed every time the compromised system is started up, Mike149.exe will create a start-up registry entry. Then Mike149.exe will generate fake system warnings claiming that the system is plagued with threats including spyware, rootkits, Trojans and viruses. Mike149.exe may also exploit system vulnerabilities in order to download additional malware and infect essential files.
