'MicroStrategy Crypto Giveaway' Scam

The 'MicroStrategy Crypto Giveaway' page operates in a similar fashion as all of the other fake giveaway tactics in this sector. It tries to trick crypto enthusiasts by promising to double the amount that they contribute to the supposed giveaway organized by MicroStrategy to distribute up to 100, 000 ETH (Ethereum) and 10, 000 BTC (Bitcoin). However, all of the statements found on the page are completely and entirely fake, and their only goal is to lure visitors into sending money to provided crypto-wallet addresses.

According to the scheme, users can participate by sending sums between 0.5 ETH - 250 ETH and 0.05 BTC to 250 BTC. At the current exchange rates of the two cryptocurrencies, the amounts are equal to $600 to $300, 000 for Ethereum, and from $900 all the way up to $5 million for Bitcoin. The fraudsters even state that anyone who participates for the first time will even receive additional bonuses on top of getting double the contributed amount.

The 'MicroStrategy Crypto Giveaway' scam, like any other tactic of this type, will not send back any money to its 'participants.' Instead, the operators of the scheme will simply run away with all received cryptocurrencies. Victims are highly unlikely to manage to recover any of the transmitted funds, as reversing the transactions is practically impossible.
