Message-alert.info is a rogue website that can conduct several dubious activities wherever users land on it. These could include force redirects to other suspicious locations, the presentation of intrusive and unwanted advertising materials, or attempts to trick the user into subscribing to the site's push notification services.
It must be noted that users normally do not land on sites such as Message-alert.info willingly. Instead, they are taken there either through redirects caused by previously visited websites or due to the presence of a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) on their computer. In the first scenario, using an adblocker programmer could help stop the Message-alert.info website from appearing. If a PUP has indeed managed to sneak itself onto the user's device, however, the best course is to conduct a scan with a reputable anti-malware solution and remove all suspicious applications that are detected.
Meanwhile, users should abstain from engaging with both the Message-alert.info website and any advertisements generated by it. It is not uncommon for such ads to lead to domains spreading additional PUPs, acting as phishing pages scraping all entered information, or even attempting to download malware threats onto the user's device.
Message-alet.info could also display misleading alerts or error messages designed to lure users into clicking the 'Allow' button. For example, one possible scenario is for the website to pretend that a supposed video clip will only be played if the user clicks Allow. Doing so will act as a subscription to the push notification services of the website, resulting in Message-alert.info receiving broad browser permissions. It can now generate intrusive ads and display them directly to the screen of the device. At this point closing the browser will not affect the frequency of the displayed advertisements.
To stop Message-alert.info from interfering with the normal browsing experience on the device, users will have to go to the respective Notifications or Permissions settings menu, depending on their Web browser, and revoke all of the permissions granted to the dubious website.
