EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Mentranding.xyz is a website that exists solely to propagate a popular browser-based tactic. These hoax websites operate in a nearly identical manner, as they try to lure visitors into enabling their push notifications. This otherwise legitimate browser feature is abused by dubious websites to deliver unwanted advertisements to users. Mentranding.xyz is not an exception.
The exact deceiving scenario that users encounter on the page could vary. After all, some of these untrustworthy pages are capable of modifying their behavior based on the incoming IP address and its associated geolocation. One scenario that has been confirmed involves Mentranding.xyz pretending that a video is currently experiencing issues and cannot be played. To access the supposed content, users are asked to click the displayed 'Allow' button. Another common alternative consists of the con website attempting to convince its users that they must pass a CAPTCHA check. In this case, the messages could be similar to:
'Click Allow to verify that you are not robot'
'Click Allow to confirm'
Advertisements delivered by such unproven sources should not be trusted lightly. In the vast majority of cases, users will be presented with promotions for shady online gaming/betting platforms, fake giveaways, portals spreading PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) or other online tactics.
