By displaying misleading alerts or warning messages, the site tries to trick its visitors into clicking the 'Allow' button. Doing so will subscribe the user to's push notification services. In practice, this means that the misleading page will gain access to the browser permissions it requires to run an intrusive advertising campaign on the device. 

While most deceiving websites of this type pretend to conduct a CAPTCHA check as a lure for their visitors, has chosen a different tactic. It shows a video window that is buffering currently. Users curious to see the video are left with the following instruction:

Subsequently, users will be flooded with unwanted advertisements, which could diminish the browsing experience on the system drastically. It is important to remember that the generated advertising materials must be approached with caution. Do not fall for obvious clickbait messages as the advertisements could redirect to unsafe third-party pages running phishing schemes, fake giveaways, promoting PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), or other tactics easily. 

In fact, landing on might be caused by a PUP managing to sneak itself unnoticed on the user's device. PUPs are notorious for spreading themselves via deceptive methods, such as bundling or fake installers/updaters.
