MarketScore is a potentially unwanted program/adware, which may be embedded and installed onto Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. MarketScore is not considered to be infectious but it may encompass various functionalities specific to other security threats. When it infiltrates into the PC, MarketScore may alter browser settings and substitute the default homepage, search provider and a new tab window with a certain commercial website. MarketScore may add a relevant toolbar and deliver and show random pop-up advertisements or advertisements linked to the computer user's browsing habits. MarketScore may lead to annoying browser diversions to advertising websites designed by attackers to possibly boost website traffic and make money from click fraud. MarketScore may use trick delivery methods to invade the computer system. MarketScore may commonly come packaged with freeware and shareware programs. If the computer user wants to bypass such unwanted downloads, he might need to be more attentive to the installation process of freeware and shareware applications and check the list of additional downloads. If the computer user sees MarketScore, he needs to opt it out.
