EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

Maloprotect.xyz is an untrustworthy website, designed to propagate various schemes and trick its users. It should be noted that rogue pages such as this one could display different behavior, depending on certain factors. Indeed, users with different IP addresses, geolocations, browser types, etc., could see completely different misleading scenarios presented on Maloprotect.xyz.
One confirmed possibility sees the page run a variation of the 'You've visited illegal infected site.' Users will be presented with several deceptive and fake security alerts and pop-up windows. The site may even try to convince them that it has finished a scan of their computers that has identified multiple, harmful malware threats. The scan is completely fake because no website is capable of such functionality on its own.
Users also should be aware that the hoax website may try to add legitimacy to its misleading messages by attempting to pass them as legitimate warnings coming from a reputable security vendor. In this case, Maloprotect.xyz was observed using the branding and name of McAfee. Of course, McAfee Corp. has absolutely no connection with such dubious websites.
Typically, the goal of this tactic is to scare users into installing an intrusive PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) presented as a security tool. Alternatively, the fraudsters could be distributing real software applications with the aim to earn illegitimate commission fees.
