Mal/FakeVirPk-A may proliferate by using SEO techniques to corrupt topical search keywords and even by typo-squatting on popular industry web pages. When on a compromised machine, Mal/FakeVirPk-A drops malicious files and modifies the registry so that it can start automatically every time you boot up Windows. Mal/FakeVirPk-A will also attempt to contact an IP address over HTTP, involving certain information about the corrupted PC. Uninstall Mal/FakeVirPk-A immediately after detection.
