Mal/ExpJS-AF is a malware infection that is a component of the malware attacks that cover many ad servers running OpenX that have been hijacked by IT criminals. The main aim of Mal/ExpJS-AF is to reroute the affected users to an exploit web page targeting Java vulnerabilities, with a simple landing page which embraces of just an applet element. The hijacked websites are injected with a malicious JavaScript that tries to load malware infections from an exploit website when unsuspecting Internet users browse the malicious websites. The exploit website is found as Mal/ExpJS-AF. The Java content loaded exploits vulnerabilities to corrupt the PC with a fake anti-spyware program called Smart Fortress 2012.
