EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

Magnitude Exploit Kit, otherwise known as Popads, is an exploit kit/toolkit, which is used by Cutwail cybercrooks to substitute the BlackHole Exploit Kit. The spam campaign, which is used by cybercriminals to deliver Magnitude Exploit Kit depends on malicious spam Pinterest emails that take target recipients to a phony browser update website. The Magnitude Exploit Kit is used to install the ZeroAccess rootkit and Zeus/Zbot Trojan by leveraging a variety of vulnerabilities that might affect the computer user's PC. The Magnitude version of Cutwail asks the PC user to click to install a browser update, but instead, the PC user unknowingly install Gameover Trojan. At the same time, a malignant iFrame diverts the browser to the Magnitude Exploit Kit. Combining social engineering with exploit kits allows attackers to carry out a successful malware campaign and maximize the potential for infecting as many computers as possible.
