Mac Guard

Mac Guard is a rogue anti-spyware application that was designed to attack Mac OS operating system. Mac Guard proliferates via spam emails, criminal websites that corrupt your machine when you visit them or through infected search results for image search engines such as Google Images. When you click on images that belong to the malicious websites, you will automatically be rerouted to a web page that displays an advertisement that imitates to be an online scanner. When these fabricated scans are executed, Mac Guard will claim that your computer is compromised and then automatically download the Mac Guard rogueware onto your computer. Once Mac Guard has finished downloading, the installer will launch and urge you to install the counterfeit security tool.

When Mac Guard is installed on a PC, it will be created to launch automatically when you login to your Mac. Mac Guard will illustrate fake security alerts to intimidate you that your PC is at risk. While Mac Guard is running, it will also open up Safari and show various pornographic websites. Once running on a computer, Mac Guard will simulate to scan your computer and then declare that there is a number of malware threats on your computer. If you try to remove these fake parasites, Mac Guard will declare that you must first purchase a license before it will enable you to do that.

After the scan, the Control Center screen for Mac Guard will be updated to claim that your computer is infected and is at risk. You should not purchase Mac Guard as all of this information it provides is falsified. When MacGuard is installed on your computer, it will also be added to your accounts Login Items so that the application is started every time you login to your Mac. If you have installed Mac Guard on your machine, remove this malware tool, and everything related to it by using a powerful anti-virus software.
