LyricsPlug is regarded as a Potentially Unwanted Program, or PUP, used to expose computer users to marketing material and advertisements. LyricsPlug is marketed as a way to listen to music while viewing the lyrics on your Web browser. However, LyricsPlug is just one of dozens of recent PUPs that include the word 'lyrics' in their names and claim to offer the same service. In fact, these types of PUPs seldom work as advertised and are rarely worth the trouble due to the many unwanted symptoms that usually follow in their wake.
