Logew.pro is a mostly empty website. However, don't let that fool you - the page uses various manipulative social-engineering tactics to run a popular browser-based tactic. Its goal is to trick the unsuspecting users into giving it broad browser permissions, by subscribing to its push notification service unknowingly. If successful, Logo.pro will start delivering annoying and unwanted advertisements to the user's device, generating revenue for its creators in the process.
It should be noted that there are countless websites exactly like Logew.pro on the Internet and users are bound to stumble on one or two by accident. However, if the encounter is far too frequent, it may be a sign that a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) has managed to sneak itself onto their devices. PUPs are intrusive applications that are often used to promote dubious pages.
Logew.pro's visitors could be shown one of several deceptive scenarios. For example, the most popular one among these hoax websites is to pretend to run a CAPTCHA check. Others may claim that a file is ready for download. Logew.pro has been observed to imply that users will gain access to a video, but first they have to click on the displayed 'Allow' button.
Apart from interfering with the user's browsing, the advertisements delivered by suspicious sources, such as Logew.pro, also could cause forced redirects to other con websites. It is entirely possible for users to find themselves landing on fake giveaways, phishing pages, unfamiliar online game platforms or sites dedicated to spreading more intrusive PUPs.
